Service times:
                        Lunch – Monday to Saturday, 12 noon – 2.00pm (2.30pm on Saturday)
                        Evenings – Tuesday to Thursday 6.30 – 8.30pm

All of our food is freshly prepared from local ingredients and suppliers wherever possible. It is cooked to order, home made, and we do our best to cater for special diets.

The regular menu is probably best described as traditionally British, supplemented by one or two ‘imports’ - for example, Thai red curry or boeuf bourgignon. It includes light snacks available at lunchtime only for anyone on a tight timescale, such as simple burgers, home made soup and baguettes, and a selection of classic favourites such as beer battered fish & chips, bangers & mash, ham, eggs & chips and various salads. We also have a ‘specials’ board, varying almost daily with dishes such as liver & bacon, scallops, toad in the hole and steak & kidney pudding.

 

WINE

We offer a small selection of good quality new and old world wines at sensible prices. These include four red wines (with two from Australia and one each from Chile and Spain), four whites (from Chile and Italy, with two from France), a Chilean rose, and a French champagne.

Most of our wines are available by the glass in measures of 175 or 250ml, but the Rioja, Chablis and Champagne are sold by the bottle only.
